MATCH STORY
Since finding themselves promoted back to the Premier League — and seeing a fall that saw them dip as deep as the fourth division in the 90’s — the Seagulls have been one of the most intriguing sides in English football. And powered by a devotion to money-ball transfers and a technical system that stays the same regardless the manager or players on-hand, a 6th-placed finish in the 2021/22 season saw them earn their first ever birth in a European competition. During that campaign, one of the club’s marquee wins saw them thrash Liverpool 3-0 at “The AmEx” in January of 2022. A early second-half brace from Solly March did most of the damage, but a late strike from former Red Danny Wellbeck was the banter-flavored icing on the cake.
DESIGN STORY
The match side takes its design cues from the club’s traditional yellow away kits and frequent use of pinstripes, with goals marked by seagulls in the distance. On the reverse, the Albion’s traditional blue and white stripes are punctuated by gold accents reminiscent of those worn during the important victory.
