Show your pride for Los Auriazules and pay homage to their first major international title.
Despite spending the better part of the last decade filling up their trophy cabinet, one trophy proved elusive for Los Tigres: the Champions League. A 2019 Clausura title guaranteed them another crack in 2020, but even that looked to have been in question when the competition was suspended during the quarterfinal stage due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily, the competition was able to resume after an 8th-month layoff and they were able to fend off NYCFC and Olympia of Honduras to reach the final against LAFC. The pair played an hour of scoreless football before the American side struck first through Rossi. But Los Auriazules kept their composure and pulled level through Hugo Ayala just 11 minutes later. Then in the 84th, Mexico’s favorite Frenchman — André-Pierre Gignac — gave them the lead and ultimately their first North American title.
