But in 2019, the Ladies by the Lake made their deepest ever playoff run — at least to that point — after falling in four straight playoff appearances. And they got the monkey off their back against two-time-defending finalists Portland. Powered by an eighth-minute goal from 2019 golden boot winner and Australian star Sam Kerr, Chicago advanced to their first-championship final.
DESIGN STORY
The match design takes its inspiration from the team’s frequently hooped kits, with each hoop made up of neighborhood names from each of Chicago’s nine “sides”. The reverse features a unique take on the club’s namesake, the famous four-starred flag of Chicago.
