A 3-0 loss in the first leg of the 2018/19 Champions League semifinal at Barcelona should have been the final nail in the coffin for the Reds. No way they could mount a comeback against this Barcelona side, and not when missing the enigmatic Mo Salah and dynamic Daniel Sturridge in the attack. But then again… anything is possible at Anfield. And so it was. Substitute Gini Wijnaldum had a three-minute brace in the second half, and Divock Origi added a brace of his own — including finishing off a quickly taken corner from Trent-Alexander Arnold — to cement just the third 0-3 comeback in European Cup semifinal history.
DESIGN STORY
The match side of the design features the trademark phrase from the match “corner taken quickly”, which describes Alexander-Arnold’s quick-thinking assist to seal the tie. The reverse features a depiction of the players and staff gathered in front of the Kop after the victory.
