Represent the checkered heroes of Croatia by wearing one of their greatest moments on the pitch.
For a country founded just in 1991, Croatia’s footballing resume rivals some of Europe’s most historic sides. And with the Kockasti having fallen just short of hoisting the World Cup just four years before, expectations for their aging side heading into the 2022 tournament were still high. After surviving a tough group, they escaped the round of 16 by coming from being to knock Japan out in penalties. And in the quarterfinals, they’d find themselves in a similar position against tournament favorites Brazil. Lead by the ageless Luka Modrić, the Croats held Brazil at bay for over 100 minutes before Neymar broke the deadlock in extra time. But Croatia again clawed back, with substitute striker Bruno Petković leveling three minutes from time… and another shootout win sending them to the semifinals for the second straight tournament.
The match side of the design takes it’s inspiration from the navy away kit donned by Croatia in the win against Brazil, while the reverse features a design that takes its cues from the traditional checkerboard pattern worn on their home shirts.
